Thank you, Mr. Sakai

I have picked up on Usagi within the last few months, and have compelled enough by the stories to go out and purchase all 18 trades, plus Space Usagi. I had read the first 9 up until this weekend, when Hurricane Frances hit...hard.
We just got our power back after 75 hours in the dark. During the major surge of the storm (Friday and Saturday nights) I made 24 hour vigils, since my wife and daughter were sleeping, and I wanted to keep guard since man a tornado was popping up.. Needless to say, despite my radio I was devoid of entertainment.
Over the last three days, I have read the remaining 10 trades, and am totally caught up with the story. I learned an important lesson that although we're all so used to having electricity and other luxuries, all you really need to be entertained is a good book and several candles.
I wanted to sincerely thank you for creating the wonderfull world that helped me escape to nervousness and fear that surrounded me, and took me off into my "happy place." I have since gotten my five year old daughter into Usagi, and she hopes to one day get a sketch from you for her bedroom wall. Hopefully one day, our paths will cross so that she can get her wish.
Abayo, and thanks again.
