Usagi Yojimbo Dojo (Facebook)
Is posting WTB ads on the Usagi Yojimbo Facebook page frowned upon? I see there's 13,000+ members over there and one of them might have what I'm looking for.

Nope. You can post WTB on there, though I'd also recommend posting in the group "Usagi Yojimbo!" as well. The Dojo Facebook page mainly shows posts from the admins, as that's the default page. There is a community tab on the Dojo group where anybody can post, but since it's not the default I feel like it gets less interaction than the "Usagi Yojimbo!" group, which defaults to user posts.

Oh, I had no idea there were multiple screens for the Dojo page (default/community). I always wondered why there weren't that many posts on the Dojo Facebook page itself considering the amount of members. I'll look into the "Usagi Yojimbo!" group.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Does anyone know who runs the Facebook Dojo page?

So, whose palm do I have to grease to get a post pinned on the main page for a week?

*cough* I might have an Indonesian sticker and RokuToys poster that need rehoming.
I'm sure everyone is sick of me asking about the C2E2 badge but I think the Facebook Dojo, with it's 13,000+ members, might be my best chance of getting one. Other than eBay that is.
Facebook Dojo - 13,901 followers!
Facebook UY! - 1,874 members
C2E2 badges wanted - Just 1

I posted your message to the Dojo Facebook page and pinned it to the top. We will leave it there for awhile.
Re: Usagi Yojimbo Dojo (Facebook)
Feel free to remove the post on the Dojo page. I assumed that it would appear on 13,000 Facebook pages. But with no replies and a little over 30 likes I suppose that isn't the case. I will resort to eBay going forward.Steve Hubbell wrote:I posted your message to the Dojo Facebook page and pinned it to the top. We will leave it there for awhile.

Patience young urchin! Don't give up so quick! Give it a week at least, if not more (like a month?). Lot's going on in the world right now and people are preoccupied with other matters, so there's still a good chance more people will see it given more time.Gaffey wrote:Feel free to remove the post on the Dojo page. I admit I don't understand how Facebook works.
I thought when someone 'follows' something it notifies you whenever a new message is posted. So when Steve posted my message I assumed 13,000 people either had their phone ping or a notification would pop up on their Facebook feed.

What's happened to the Facebook group this week? Seems like there are more TMNT posts than Usagi. I need the old DojoBoard back.

I noticed that too. It seems like it is one poster mostly. Some folks said in one of the comments threads that TMNT groups can be toxic and mean when people disagree with each other. I hope that doesn’t happen with UY! Group.Gaffey wrote:What's happened to the Facebook group this week? Seems like there are more TMNT posts than Usagi. I need the old DojoBoard back.
And I wish these dojo board worked better.

Jeez, and I actually thought I might see some grease squeezed out of this thread......Gaffey wrote:So, whose palm do I have to grease to get a post pinned on the main page for a week?

Is the TMNT posts still happening? I finally blocked the one guy that was posting most of it, so I can't tell if it's continuing.Maka wrote:I noticed that too. It seems like it is one poster mostly. I thought maybe it was just me that was annoyed by it.

I flagged several of the posts hoping the UY! Admin guy might take notice, but I don't think he did, or doesn't mind. I didn't speak out before, because I didn't want to be the sour grape in the bunch, so I kept my emotions and public comments in check (until here and now).

There seems to have been a drastic influx of new people on the FB group. That's good, but also bad.... brings in a lot of riff raff. I was just getting to like the FB group, but I feel somewhat alienated now. It's not the warm cozy place it was just a year ago.
I keep hoping the Dojo Board gets fixed, but then I also hope that what's happening on FB doesn't happen here too.
