Just out of curiosity, what kept you away from Motor City this year? Keira and I can't attend anyway (we have a little one on the way!), but we had so much fun last year that we're hoping there will be another Motor City meetup in 2009.

I had a couple of reasons for declining Motor City this year. The first is that April will be a busy travel month for me, with trips to Vermont, Oregon, and Poland and Sweden. I have to maintain my schedule for Usagi. The second reason is that for the past 2 years I had been invited to another con but have had to decline every year. Last year, the con was in May, and I thought it would be the same this year so wanted to keep that month open. As it turns out, the convention will be in April, so I won't be able to make it again. Hopefully next year.

If another invitation comes from Motor City next year, hopefully I'll be able to accept. It's a fun convention, and that Japanese restaurant Steve Hubbell found was superb.

Congratulations on your forthcoming addition to your family! We hope that all goes well.
