Baltimore Comic-con
I have accepted an invitation to the Baltimore Comic-con to be held on October 10-11. This is my first time at this convention, but not my first time in Baltimore. I was there as a speaker for a seminar at Johns-Hopkins about 15 years ago.
My piggy bank will be working overtime till then.

Although a librarian conference is sure to be a scorching party - 
just kidding - I've submitted for a kitchen pass for Baltimore. (I live in North Carolina) We shall see if the boss replies to my submission. I made sure I put a TPS form on top. (Office Space anyone?) so at least she'll review it before rejection.
Actually I'm interested in that one speaker on Asperger's Syndrome at that librarian conference; my son has that cousin of Autism. If you get a chance, listen to that speaker.

And to keep on topic, one has to wonder what all would transpire at a librarian's conference - like how that would be different from Stan's usual presentation at a con.

This is awesome. I live 20 minuets away form Baltimore, I shall be there this year!!! To bad Otakon does not Invite you since Usagi is considered manga in some Otaku circles. Meh, the Otakon has gotten to be too full of youngster interested in Bleach and Naruto.... (is 27 and can not believe he is saying this.)

October 10 is my birthday (I'll be 30 this year, which seems kind of strange), so I'd love to go to the Baltimore Comic-Con on that date. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that I'll be able to make it (I hope that after I finish my last semester of grad school this fall I'll have a little more time to spend traveling). Oh well, at least I got to meet Stan in Austin two months ago.
Stan, do have any plans to visit Edgar Allan Poe's grave when you're in Baltimore? It seems like it would be appropriate since he's pretty much the originator of detective fiction, a genre that's influenced UY a little bit (I'm looking forward to the next Inspector Ishida story).

A friend of mine got married in that church a few years ago. I would recommend checking it out. Its kinda cool.

I wish you could of been at the Wizard World Chicago Comic-con because you would of made the show the best ever for independent collectors like myself. Baltimore is a great show from what I hear but I can't make it and I bet your table would have a long line that might make them limit the people that can get stuff signed or to meet you. 
I wish I could meet you because your work is the Kirby or Ditko of my generation of collectors and 
I wouldn't even know what to say but I honored.

Its great just to be able to finally get a chance to meet ya but any exclusive baltimore merch would top the cake.
