Great!
I gave my hardcover to my sister as a gift (after I read it). I love that it's back in print (and cheaper).

I'll pick one up.
Mr. Sakai, When will you be in Monterey Park signing this year? Isn't it in the early part of November?
Peace,
Maka

Julie is not doing a Monterey Park Christmas boutique this year.
I will not be doing any signings in Southern California this year, apart from one on November 6 in the Hawthorne area. Go to the Heritage Source website for details.

There are still places you can get the hard cover version, although I realize it can be a little harder if someone's not in the States.
Heritage Source has them.
Bud Plant had them, and they sell internationaly.
I've even seen one at a local Borders in central CA.

Yes, Dark Horse sold out of them in 6 months, but being that the HC was widely distributed, it's actually fairly easy to find elsewhere (for now anyway). Heck you can buy one now cheaper than the Softcover price at Amazon... $26!

I decided to order one more for myself (since I gave the original to my sister). I've placed my order with Amazon, but they don't have any in stock to send me (at least not immediately). We'll see how long it takes (it's been a week so far). I never had amazon cancel an order on me, but I don't think the HC (at least on the cheap) is as available as we thought.
Does anyone know how distribution works? Since Dark Horse sold out, does that mean they made all the money (after Mr. Sakai cut) and don't have to take returns? That would be pretty awesome.
Peace,
