I will again be going to the Angouleme Comics Festival in France. It takes place at the end of January.
So, Fanfan, you may not need to go all the way to New York to meet me.

I would still like to go to Normandie and Mont St Michel, but I haven't decided on my itinerary.
The last time I went by way of Geneva, Switzerland and caught a ride to Angouleme. I would like to return to Switzerland, but it is a very expensive country and they don't take Euros. It is also a 10 hour drive to Angouleme.
I've also gone by way of Paris, taking the TGV train south. In this case I would return to Paris, do some sight seeing and perhaps go to Normandie.
I guess I could fly in to Bordeaux, and take the train to Angouleme.
A lot would depend upon my schedule, deadlines, and my mood when I make my reservations. I'm traveling a lot December-April, and don't want to fall too far behind on my deadlines as I did earlier this year. I went to Europe 3 times during October through January. Between that and a few other trips, I've been trying to catch up all year. It's a good thing I'm able to take my work with me or I'd really be far behind.

I hope you will have time to visit Normandie (Honfleur, Etretat Le Clos Lupin, Rouen, Le Tréport...). I live in the north of Paris (Val d'Oise), but i am from an old Normand's family. It will take me 6 hours drive to go to Angouleme, but between 2 or 4 hours to Normandie (depends of where). Perhaps someone of Pierre Paquet's team will drive you to Angouleme from Paris ? tell me when you will go to Angouleme, i will make the deplacement as you !
In Paris there is actually a very important exposition about Star Wars in La Villette (very important exposure hall called City of Science). Should be available when you will come.
It's a good thing I'm able to take my work with me or I'd really be far behind.
This mustn't be easy !
i could not...

I will be flying in and out of Paris after all. I will be doing a couple of store signings in Paris before taking the train to Angouleme.
The signings will probably be on January 24 and 25.
I'll post more information as I receive them.

I requested Paquet for a signing in Impression which is an old independant comicbook store near Paris...
2 days in Paris... hope you will have the time to see all you wanted to. I will see before you come Star War expo, Yokai expo and tell you if is worth to see it.
Will you still visit Normandie ? i hope so !
Here some guests of Angoulême :

we read the names of: "Jeff Smith, Charles Burns, Dave Cooper, Eric Powell ou Chris Ware" I read that Mike Mignola would be a guest star this year.
And you will probably have your BlackSad signed : Juan Guarnido-Juan Diaz Canales will be there too!
