San Diego--what to bring
With Comic-con International just a few weeks away, this is the inevitable "what do you want me to bring" thread. If you have a particular item--print, comic, toy, art, etc--that you want me to bring and reserve for you, you can either post it here or e-mail me. Even if you ask for it here, you are under no obligation to actually purchase it.
Hardcovers are going fast, and I do not even have all the volumes available. So, if you want one of the s/n HC, you had best reserve one.
I'll also have a couple of freebies exclusively for Dojo members who ask for them--I got more of those pin-back buttons from last year. If you did not get a set, ask for one. There are a total of 12 designs. You may not be able to get all of them. If you got them last year, do not ask for them this year unless you are trying to complete a set. I also have about 40 magnetic book marks. These were to have been DH's giveaways for last year's SD Con, but they were not ready in time. I don't know if DH will be giving these away. Both items are first come, first served with no reservations.
My booth location is the same as last year--#4906.

OO! OO! OO! *Waves hands, jumps up and down*
Umm.... lessee.... three sketchbooks (2006), two (if possible) copies of "Shell Shock", and... ummm... ack!..... oooooo.... dang-- if you have any old pictures you drew of Usagi and Leonardo that aren't like hundreds of dollars lying around gathering dust and needing a buyer, then one of those.
But definitely the sketchbooks and the Shell Shocks...

Kind of made me curious, what is the status of the original art for the Usagi / Leonardo cross-over stories? And the same question concerning the original art for the forthcoming TMNT pin-up? Are these pages for sale? Any word yet on which issue of TMNT the pin-up will be in?cynlee wrote:oooooo.... dang-- if you have any old pictures you drew of Usagi and Leonardo that aren't like hundreds of dollars lying around gathering dust and needing a buyer, then one of those.

Abayo.....

I still have those cross-over stories, but don't plan of selling them anytime soon.Steve Hubbell wrote: Kind of made me curious, what is the status of the original art for the Usagi / Leonardo cross-over stories? The up-coming pin-up is already in the "for sale" pile. I took it to Anthrocon, but no one bought it. It should be in Tales of the TMNT 25. The art features all four Turtles and Usagi fighting a mass of tentacles. It would make a nice inspiration for a story if we ever do another crossover.

Terry and Robin are wonderful people. I see them in passing at cons, but we got to spend a bit more time together at the National Cartoonists Society Reuben Awards weekend a few years ago.Mayhem wrote:You hadn't heard?![]()
Yes, I'll be at San Diego this year with (girl)friend in tow Kris from Chicago as she wanted to have some fun (well overdue on her part) and meet Terry Moore (creator of Strangers in Paradise).
Make sure you introduce yourself to us, and take part in the Dojo group photo (probably Saturday).
