Here are all my auction (including those relisted) that end on Saturday, Dec. 7th, 2019. I think this will be the last time I list these auctions (unless I relist those that don't sell) until after the January Charity Raffle. I'm planning on using my paypal account email (which is currently linked to eBay, of course) to collect raffle payments. If I do that I don't want to confuse my personal payments with what I collect from the good people giving to the Heroes Initiative.

Dear UYDers,

I’m going to start selling comics again. Here’s the first eBay auction:

The Adventures of Luther Arkwright by Bryan Talbot, issues 1 through 9 (complete set of the story) published by Dark Horse Comics in 1990-91.

I remember Luther Arkwright. I thought about picking it up back then, but never did.

Good luck on your sales Maka. I'll be watching!

Dear UYDer,

Camping always makes me reflective. So my latest brilliant idea is to get more serious about reducing my comic collection.

As a new strategy, I'm going to start offering comics sets for sale here first before I send them out to eBay.

I am leaving for the second part of our camping trip with Cheryl's sister's family and parents tomorrow. So this won't start for at least another week plus. But I thought I would post this here as a public declaration so you all can hold me accountable. :)

The first set of comics to offer here are Ted McKeever’s Pencil Head, issues 1-5. This is a complete set. I’ve been a fan of Ted’s work since picking up Eddy Current in a Hawaiian comic shop in the 1990s. These comics were original priced at $3.99 each. I am selling the set for $10 (or obo) and I’ll cover for media mail shipping in the US.

The story is a fictional telling of cartoonist that resembles Ted’s own career and books. Very meta. Ted’s signature black and white art is very much alive here.

Here’s a completed eBay auction that sold on June 21. It was for the first 3 issues for $9.99 + $1.99 s/h. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ted-Mckeevers- ... 632-2357-0

Here are some comics sets I'm offering this week:

Amulet graphic novel set, Books 1-8, By Kazu Kibuishi. Books 1-6 are embossed with "From the Library of Michael K. Takahara M.K.T." on the inside title page. They also have my home phone number on a label sticker I've printed out. I kept these at work and loaned them out to colleagues who had children who would like them. They are in great condition beyond the embossing and my phone number. Books 7&8 do not have embossing or phone number. They are first prints.

Here's a completed auction on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/114909406060?h ... 7675.l2557

Mine doesn't come with a slipcase as I bought these books as they came out.

Kazu was a student at UCSB and used to draw strips for our college newspaper. You might know him as the artist who drew the covers of the Harry Potter Series when those were reprinted. He also did the amazing Flight anthology graphic novels (I gave those to a nephew).

I'm asking $30 for the set and I will pay for shipping in the USA.

Future State Superman vs Imperious Lex 1-3 complete set by writer Mark Russell, artist - Steve Pugh, and colorist Romulo Fajardo Jr. Issues 1 & 3 are the variant covers (with cardstock covers) and had the list price of $4.99 versus $3.99. Number #2 is the standard cover and is priced at $3.99. I wasn't keeping track so I also have an extra issue of #1 that I will throw in. So four comics for $10. I'll pay for the shipping in the USA.

I'm a fan of Russell writing and I've always liked Steve Pugh art. It's a fun tale of a future superman, Lois Lane, and Lex battling out politics and the destruction of planets. A fun quick read.

Here's a eBay auction that recently sold (without an extra copy of issue #1): https://www.ebay.com/itm/303528765068?h ... SwsIVgjenS

Lucky nephew! 8)

Don't forget about Kazu's piece in the Sakai Project.

Plus he's friends with Stan and Jeff so he's got to be a decent guy. :P

Oh yeah, Amulet gets Gaffey's Stamp of Approval.

I wanted to bid on this piece during the CAPS auction but it was out of my price range.

Kazu is a very talented cartoonist. I'm very happy about his success with Scholastic.

Dear UYDers,

I'm going to start again listing things on eBay. This is going to be very slow. But here is the first one (I guess this is a relist but I haven't sold comics for so long I had to start over :D):

PENCIL HEAD (2016) #1-5 COMPLETE SET TED MCKEEVER IMAGE SHADOWLINE
https://www.ebay.com/itm/165229142866
Starting bid is $4.99 + $3.99 shipping.
