Hello UY collectors,

http://cgi.ebay.com/Albedo-Anthropomorp ... dZViewItem

It's already over $700. But has a copy of the holy grail. Good luck.

Albedo 3 and a few others for cheap:

Just to inform that I actually won this auction :D

(there's goes the money I just earned from writing an article about Activision!)

Question is, is that a fair price for the set do you think? The comics are being sent to where I will be in the US next week so I will pick them up then. Maybe I'll bring them to Comicon for show

Oh... hmmm... now that's a thought... maybe I'll get Stan to sign issue #2 ;)

You got all those for less than $900? That's a sweet deal I think since I believe issue 2 alone has gone for more than that.

Congrats on winning the auction. And for getting paid to write an article on activision. Pretty cool work.

IMO, a fair price can only be determined by you. Was it worth it to you? What we think doesn't really matter.

But if the #2 is in VF+, I think it would go for over $500 (but that's just a guess). A CGC high grade of #3 went for $90 recently.

It sounds like the condition of those comics are in pretty good shape and you have a complete set of Albedo Vol 2, the UY holy grail, and 2nd and 3rd UY appearances. That's pretty nice collection. Enjoy your win/purchase.

Peace,

maka

How come blacktiger2006 was allowed to bid so many times in a row? To me, he artifically increased the price. It went from $250 to $750 because of him.

That doesn't seem right.

When you put in a maximum bid, ebay automatically puts you in at the low end of your bid and keeps bidding for you until you hit your maximum amount. blacktiger2006 probably only entered in $750 and ebay did the rest.

It was more likely l00kin4stuff who had placed the high maximum bid, and Blacktiger placed 3 seperate bids in an attempt to get past l00kin4stuff's high bid, which he apparrently never did.

What was the high bid at when you placed your bid, Mayhem?

$1005. It was really dependent on what I valued the #2 of course. But I do the writing job on the side freelance to pay for some of the niceties in life :)

It took me a moment to figure out your answer of $1005. That was youy high bid?

I was trying to learn how much the bid was at before you put in your bid?

$1005? You were definitely serious about getting that set.

I always snipe... I'm not sure what the bid was at the time (I had an automatic process do it for me as it ended in the middle of the night) but I suspect it was around $750 or so.

The Albedo #2 was ranked in pretty good condition so I figured it was worth $500 or so. I got paid... well I won't say how much but more than the end bid for the Activision article so no probs there on paying for it :)

It's currently sitting at the PO waiting to be collected (guess no one was in yesterday when the postman turned up) so I'll get them tomorrow.
