Would you like to buy my Albedo 1 and 2 on eBay?

Dear Reader,
I am ready to sell my Albedo 1 and 2.
I am so attached to these books so I asked my son, Asher to handle the sales.
The 2 came back as a 9!
Sensei Sakai signed it for me at Fanime 2000.
The 1 was scored as a 6.5 and is signed by Steven Gallacci.
The books are now on eBay, if you are interested.
Bidding begins at 1$!
Best wishes to all.

Awesome! Did you take a picture of the Sakai signature before having it slabbed? That way the winning bidder can still enjoy the signature/sketch.

Hi Gaffey,
No, I did not take a photo of the signature.
This is a photo I took when Sensei Sakai signed the book.
I hope these books go to a good home.
Best wishes to all.

Thanks.

FYI - In the description of Albedo 1 it says "Signed and remark by Stan", not Steve Gallacci.

Man, the prices of Albedo #2 have really taken off in the past year. I'm blown away! Good luck, Go! It's already over $2K. Amazing! Congrats!

Peace, maka

Good luck go! It must be hard to part with such treasures. I envy you for having the strength and will power to do it! :D

I'd like to ask a few questions if I may. I'm not into graded and slabbed comics, so I really know nothing about them... but what makes a 9 a 9, and not a 9.3 or 9.7? From the photos on the auction, your copy looks pristine. Do they explain the reasons for the grade it receives?

My other question is, are the cases sealed? If they are, I guess it makes it hard to look at the books. I wonder if anyone ever opens a graded book to look at it, and then gotten a different grade better or worse, than what it was?

Lastly, what does it cost to get something graded? Do grading prices vary by book or anything?

ps Maichan, my son is handling the auction from begining to end. I do not know the details of the process.

Go's copy has a few color breaking spine ticks which reduces the grade. It's tough to find Albedo 2 without at least one color breaking tick thanks to the black cover, but they do exist. There should be grader's notes on CGC books. You'd have to type in the serial number on the case to find out what the notes are. I think CGC makes you pay for this information if it isn't your copy.

All slabbed comics are sealed and the cases need to be cracked in order to look at them. That's why I asked go if he had taken a pic of Stan's signature before getting it slabbed.

You can find CGC fees here. https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/services-fees/

Albedo #2 stock going up, or maybe just because your auction was right before Xmas...

That last albedo 2 auction looks like a tax refund final price
