More Tomoe, huh Mayhem? I'll keep her in mind^_^ But I didn't know you drew at all! Have you posted any pictures?

I'm not sure there is a word for the way she's feeling Fanfan. Confidence, amusement, compassion. I find that as most colors are a mix of shades and not merely red or green or purple, people too usually feel and think in more complexity then can be fully summoned in one word. That's important to remember when drawing them, I think.

Ziritrion, I use openCanvas for sketching, inking, and coloring. Photoshop is used to size, save, and add any final embellishments to the piece that don't directly involve the drawing itself. (Soft light, transparencies, and so on)

I haven't actually tried the second one, but it might work! Though, if you're going to do any amount of drawing, I'd recommend you get yourself a Medion graphics tablet. They're a great little tablet and only coast $50 for a 9"x12" My sister got one for Christmas, it works great^_^

Buslady, I definitely think you should do another drawing of Gen! I mean, he's so fun to draw- why not, right? Your sketches really are lovely, but if you wanted to do an ink drawing or something more finished, that would be cool too!

And don't worry Aoki, just keep drawing! You'll get faster and stronger too. It's the way we all grow as artists^_^ And you've already reached a level in your learning that not everyone sticks to long enough to achieve. You should be happy with yourself^_^

Trust me, that interpretation of Tomoe is just so ultra cute, I could just eat her up ;)

As for myself, well I used to draw a bit when I was younger. When I had more time. But the scientific part of my brain took over more of my creative side, and today, well I'd be lucky to get some stick men looking good :P

My brother on the other hand, went in the opposite direction. Though I don't think he's hand-drawn in a while either, it's all computer design and artistry at the moment.

I'm curious as to what that game they are playing is called, and what the goal of it is. I play chess, and relatively good at it(2nd place in my Club), and am eager to learn about more classical stratedgy games. :?:

Thanks for the info Amy. I've recently started to learn how to draw because we lack artists at my faculty's magazine, and since we have a bunch of crazy ideas flying around I decided to start drawing so I could do something more besides writing :P . When I become good enough as to not be ashamed to show it outside the office, I'll post a few drawings here.

White Phoenix, that game is called Go. The rules are pretty simple but gameplay is complex. My university has a Go club and they always set up games for beginners at the faculties' parties.

Excellent piece with an idea that doesn't involve brandishing swords for a change-yet greater nonetheless for capturing meaning within the scene. I enjoy it very much.
