Tomoe and Gen playing Go. I really love this game^_^ And on a side note... Gen is entirely too much fun to draw!

That is just such an awesome composition!

Just when I think I've seen the best piece of Usagi fan-art from you, you come up with somethingeven better.
It looks like Tomoe is kickin' Gen's butt, judging from the pile of his stones laying beside her...
I really love the way you show Gen's massiveness compared to Tomoe's relatively petite size, it really adds to the personallities of the characters.
Just out of curiousity, how long have you been working on this?

You really capture personalities with your drawing.
Like Steve, I like Gen's massiveness compared to Tomoe's petite form. I also like his stooped shoulders and huge hands. Maybe I'll start using that with Gen.
Your drawings get better every time I see them.

Hee hee hee, Gen can be pretty "slow of mind" XD as said before, you've captured their personalities well and your work keeps on getting better and better! The contrasts between the two work great!

Wow, you all are so sweet and encouraging! Thanks guys^_^ Let's see.... this took a bit over an hour to do, I think. But I had the idea for a while.
I'm glad the characters came through okay! Especially Gen. I remember in the interview Fanfan posted, Mr. Sakai saying he liked the massiveness of the rhino. So that seemed the central thing to bring through in him. But my massive characters are a bit... distinctive? I was worried^^; So it was a relief seeing him well received, especially by Mr. Sakai!

Amy, how did you learn to use openCanvas? Do you have any links to a tutorial or something similar? What do you use it for, besides inking? Do you always ink with a tablet, or is it possible to ink with a mouse? Thanks for answering all this

i really like the hands of Gen with so little stones, his concentration, and behind go ban, Tomoe so, so what ... , self confident or mutine...
Gen is really emphasized here... all in contrast.
a great piece for sure !

Absolutely bloody brilliant Amy
Any chance of a pic of Tomoe by herself in ready stance mode?
