Some avatars I've made for fellow UY fans

Post by hakucho »

Hi, everyone.

Well, I've already posted these at the UYC at Deviant Art, and thought that perhaps I should post them up here, as well.

The originals were taken from the comics, and the colouring is based off of that used for graphic novel/comic book covers (ie Tom de Luth's work) and, I think, the colouring work of Becky-chan for this site (I'm saying this for the Jei one. I think that the colouring came from a comic book cover, but I thought that it suited him well...I hope you don't mind, Becky-chan, if it turns out that I based his off your work! )

These icons shown are size 100x100. A link for a version sized 80x80 is available under each respective image.

If anyone would like to use these, please don't hesitate to ask. :)

Here we go...

Kitsune and Gennosuke

Noriko, and boy is she annoyed...

So far, they're only working in png format. Hopefully more will come, soon.

Really cool work!

I especially like the Kitsune and Gen one.

Sure make my avatar look like it was done by an amateur (wait, it was done by an amateur :D )

I can't wait to see what you do next.

Abayo.....

Let's see how this turns out... probably not quite as well picture wise as a gif than a jpg...

Nope, I tried saving in the gif format, and the picture became grainy and drained >_< If anyone knows some way of saving these as gif (or any format used for live journals) without such a thing happening, I'm open to hearing it!

On the other hand, the 80x80 versions could work well on this board, I think...

Hope these gifs are not "grainy and drained" in your book:

Wow, thanks Robweiller! *hugs*

Did you simply choose 'save as gif'? Whenever I do that, it tells me about colour loss...maybe they have to be interlaced or something?

Hmm... looks like you're using one of these pro graphic programs that doesn't make working with gif files easier... :|

Let me give you a tip of advice. Visit www.irfanview.com and download this program from tucows or any other site. It's not just a simple image viewer, it has plenty of useful functions, one of them being handy image converter. It doesn't screw the image quality of files saved in .gif format, just like some more pro do. I easily converted your pics from .png to .gif in Irfanview and they didn't lose much in their quality.

Downloaded. :)

Do you mind if I upload the gifs you've converted at the UYC, for people to use if they want to?

I've got a Usagi one to do for Mark (aka Scribblesartist), as well as some others. Maybe I'll even do Hikiji, if anyone is interested in having an LJ icon of the Shadow lord.

No, why should I? I'm a member of UYC apparently, remember? :) I'm pleased I could do something for the club.

Done! I've chaged the images to the gifs you've converted, provided the links for the 80x80 versions and given you credit ^^

Thanks, Rob! *hugz*

Originally i made these for Mark (aka Scribblesartist), but loved how they turned out. I asked him if others could use it, and he said yes! :D

Hope everyone likes!
