Hello everyone! This is from Usagi Yojimbo #93 "Chanoyu" (The Tea Ceremony) pages 18-20 by the amazing Stan Sakai and colored by myself.
Here are the links to the pages..

This was done for my comic coloring class at SVA (School of Visual Arts). I looked at some of the coloring work by Tom Luth, Jason Hvam, and of course Stan Sakai on how to color the Usagi pages. I think the colors turned out pretty well.
Enjoy!

I've moved this to the Fan Art section as the Gallery forum is for displaying original pieces only. I've also renamed the thread to show what it is. After all that... some excellent work there my friend

Nice work. I actually attempted something like this once, but I ended up giving up on it. It's not as easy as Tom Luth and Stan make it look.

Awesome work, rowdydog4444 !
Absolutely fantastic, and I have still yet to check out the second and third pages!
Love the way the colors seem to have so much texture....
Just curious, how many pages did you color for the class?

I really like the atmosphere of this colour work, the texture is good (even if i prefer the B&W version).
Good job !

I'm a bit late to the game, but wow! Rich and evocative, but not overpowering or intrusive (IMHO). My only crit would be that I never imagined Tomoe as 'apple-cheeked'. Nicely done!

Very nice work. It reminds me a little bit of David Petersen's Mouse Gaurd coloring. (which is a compliment)
