Calling all TMNT fans!

Post by TristJones »

Hey guys! I know I'm not much of a poster here on the boards, my lurking habits tend to outweigh my posting ones significantly. However, I'd just like you all to know that come July, I have the good fortune of having my first professional comic hit the shelves worldwide, and the even greater fortune of it being the comic I've wanted to write since day one: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (well... Tales of the)! It's called "To Serve and Protect" and the art has been done masterfully by Paul Harmon, who was the artist on Rick Remender's Sea of Red and his own book Mora. Anyway, there's a six page preview up on IGN at the moment, so take a gander! Hopefully some of you guys out there will pick this up and let me know what you think!

Peace out!

Trist

I haven't picked up a new TMNT issue in 15 years, but that art looks fantastic. I might give it a try.

Have to admit, those previews do look really, really good...

What month it is due btw? I think I'm a couple issues behind on the Tales series, the problem I have not being able to buy them here and have to order them from the US...

(still, with the main series on hiatus currently, then it's just this and Usagi at the moment that I need to buy!)

I'm on this and another board that also had this posted. And I have my TMNT on automatic order with my comic shop, so getting it won't be a problem.
I'm looking forward to seeing it! CaW was a wild section of time, so the story sounds good. And the art looks great!

Paul is an incredible artist. Everyone should check out his creator owned Mora, from Image and his stuff from Sea of Red is awesome too!

This is due in July, hopefully it'll be out before I hit the U.S. (I'm Aussie so I feel your importing pains!) for SDCC!

Wouldn't happen to be thetechnodrome would it? I'm a bit of a lurker there, and posted the link, but I think someone else beat me to the punch over there! Hopefully it won't disappoint...

Thank you so much! It means a huge deal to me hearing (or reading I suppose!) you say that. Both my old man and I are huge fans of Usagi (Dad actually got me into Usagi through Groo WAY back in the day)!

If you do, you'll have to let me know what you think (no holds barred if you don't like it either  )

Yeah I just haven't found a reliable place to order Usagi or TMNT here in the UK since my last comic shop seemingly went into liquidation (well I'm assuming so, the emails bounced and the phone lines got cut off).

And I thought myself flying to SDCC was a trip last year, have fun this year, your flights will be just a little longer than mine was overall!

Actually, I'm also on the TMNT-L. But as I'm also a UY fan, I'm here, too.
If you go to SDC for sure, let us know! Would be great if it did come out before SDC.
I won't be looking for it to be disappointing, I'm looking forward to it. There's been some good stuff in the Tales of series.
