That guy is amazing. The kind of subtle mystery in his art is so unique. You can instantly pick it out.

Plus, who doesn't love Dr. Jones?

Man... I can NOT wait for this movie...

I heard they were able to convince Sean Connery to be in it! It's going to be most excellent.

I love working with Steven and George, and it goes without saying that it is an honor to have Harrison as my son," the 76-year-old Scottish actor declared. "But in the end, retirement is just too damned much fun."

Despite his reluctance to join his son for another adventure, Connery did have a bit of fatherly advice for star Harrison Ford. "Demand that the critters be digital, the cliffs be low, and for goodness sake keep that whip by your side at all times in case you need to escape from the stunt coordinator!" Connery instructed.

And should Harrison and company come through with flying colors, Connery says he'll be the first in line to watch.

"This is a remarkable cast, and I can only say, 'Break a leg, everyone,' " Connery said. "I'll see you at the theater!"

Yeah, it stinks that Henry Jones isn't going to make an appearance, but I like the fact that Shia LaBeouf will be playing Indy's son. He's a talented guy in the same vein as River Pheonix.

But yeah, I don't know about this new Indy movie. I'm thrilled at the idea of a new Indy picture, but when I think of who is behind it, I start to worry. First, this is Lucas' franchise, even if Spielberg directs them. Lucas obviously forgot what a good film is a long time ago, and frankly, I think he's just trying to re-fill the coffers after spending a good chunk of his fortune on purchasing the Presidio.

I'm also starting to wonder if Spielberg hasn't gone senile. His last three films have really been the low points of his career so far. Munich started out good, and had the potential to be great, but really just fell flat on its face and never recovered. Terminal was just a stupid movie that tried to capitalize on the real story and ended up nothing like it. Even Tom Hanks and Stanley Tucci, phenomenal actors that they are, couldn't save it. And don't get me started on War of the Worlds, man was that a pile of garbage.

I guess my long winded rant is mostly just trying to say that I am excited, but extremely guarded about this movie. Here's to hoping they did it right.

I actually liked Spielberg's War of the Worlds quite a bit even though I wasn't really expecting to. If nothing else, I thought it had some really great scary imagery.

I'm always up for a new Indiana Jones movie even if it's probably best to be "cautiously optimistic" about it.

Sorry for the spoiler, didn't know if everyone knew about the "Dr. Jones has a son" aspect of the movie.

I agree that Lucas really has hurt his fanbase with his treatment of Star Wars. I really loathed the new ones, and thankfully still have the originals to watch (before they replaced the muppets)

However, with Jones they are filming with older film stock (not digitally) to keep the look consistent. Plus, Ford is still doing his own stunts and Shia is very strong. And Marion Ravenwood is coming back.

It seems in film the pendulum is swinging back. To use an example I really enjoyed the new treatment of Bond. I hope that this is now a return to the kind of filmmaking that I grew up with and why I like Usagi so much. Strong stories first, followed by excellent artwork, and respect of the fans opinions.

I totally agree.

I'm so sick of seeing CG in movies... I'm glad Ford's going to be doing his own stunts.

I wonder how much truth there is to him doing his own stunts. I mean think about it, Ford is 65. Can you imagine the astronomical cost they would have to pay to insure the production? I remember reading that to insure the cost of that Hollywood Homicide pile he was in, where he did some of his own stunts, the insurance cost came close to 7 million. The cost to insure a 65 year old Indy with al the stunts these movies usually entail would be insane. I dunno, it just seems fishy to me...

I suppose he could be less involved stuntwise, but there are a few pictures out there on set with him pretty bruised and bloody looking. The guy is a master carpenter to boot so you have to figure he gets his fair share of smashed body parts and cuts. He's used to the wear.

I like to think movies still get made this way.
