I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not:

Fred Schodt said on Twitter, "It's really hard for me to imagine Spiderman rides at Disneyland."
On the other hand, as someone pointed out on another message board that I read, this could lead to Marvel publishing old Disney comics, which I think would be a good thing.

"Spider-Man will appear in 'A Bug's Life' sequel," joked Barclays Capital analyst Anthony DiClemente.

I think it's good for Marvel stock holders. Disney is a solid brand and has so much reach in the world.
That said, 4 BILLION is a lot to pay for a comic book/Media company that still has obligations to Paramount to distribute their next 5 films. How much did WB/Time Warner pay for DC (do they own DC?).
Peace, maka

I really don't think they will mess at all with Marvel, but just take from it a tiny bit intellectual property wise and otherwise let it ride so that the demographic Marvel represents fills Disney's void, and adds to the coffers. Perhaps a few cross-market opportunities as stated above.

I don't know, but this might happen:SakuradaKaoru wrote:Does this mean that from now on, rather than killing mobsters The Punisher will exorcise ghouls and goblins with his magical rainbow beams?

Seriously, I see this as not being too different from Disney owning Miramax or Touchstone Pictures, both of which have released plenty of movies that aren't the type of thing one associates with the Disney brand.

As long as they don't pull something like The Punisher & His Friendly Friends I'm okay...
