sad news about Juri Kibuishi

Post by Maka »

Hello UYDers,

I don't know Kazu Kibuishi work, other than he contributed a piece I liked http://www.gallerynucleus.com/detail/5867 to the Totoro Forest Project Auction a few years back. His sister, Juri, was murdered last weekend.

LA Times coverage

This and the murder of one of former thundercats (TV series) writer Stephen J. Perry are sad reminders that life is fragile. They cynics will say murders happen every day and what makes these two people's death more important over anyone else who is killed. They deaths aren't more or less important. But their deaths made me think of the family and friends that are left behind to try and cope with the loss and violence in their love one's last moments of life. Everyone's life is important, regardless of circumstances.

My prayer today is for your family and you to be protected from violence and harm.

Peace, maka

Both of these cases are absolute tradegies. My condolences to the victims' family and friends.
