MAD's Finest Artists: Sergio Aragones

Post by Jet_Jaguar »

Anyone else bought a copy of this book? I just got a copy. It's well worth picking up if you're a fan of Sergio's work. I would have liked for this to be a big two-volume thing like the complete Mad Don Martin, but this is still nice.

sounds and looks very promising!!funny thing, just today I was thinking about how funny and talented that sergio is without even picking up a book of his...I was just going for a walk with the dog and losing it in a great cartoonist's work....

It is a beautiful book! I got my copy a couple weeks ago. They definitely did a nice job on it.

They could probably have filled four volumes the size of the Don Martin books with all the work Sergio has done for MAD over the past 48 years, so I can understand them settling for the one volume.

Tom Luth will hate me for the thought, but I think it would have been really awesome to have had Tom color all of Sergio's old material to match the colored stuff from the last decade. The colored pages look so cool on the nice paper they used for the book.

Hello UYDers,

I got a copy today. And look what was inside:

Paying full price to support my local comic book store finally pays off. :) Of course it helps that Sergio's wife get's her hair cut in Santa Barbara.

Peace, maka
