The Wheel of Time

Post by Andy »

Has anyone read any of the books by author Rober Jordan from this series? I'm almost at the end of the first one and I think it's a fantastic adventure story! It has the flavor of Lord of the Rings, but very original! I have been very surprised by turns of events in the books. There are quite a few books to the series, so I will be busy for a while!

I read the first eight or nine of them. There have been three new ones I have not read yet, but I decided to wait 'til the series was finished before I read any more of them. After a few books into the series, they stop being self contained books and become little more than long chapters in an even longer continueing story.

If you like fantasy, try Steven Brust as well.

I'll keep that name in mind. Thanks for the referral. I just finished book 2 of the Wheel of Time saga today. So far I'm rivetted! It is a little daunting that there are so many books ahead and Jordan hasn't even finished the series yet! They say some of the later books get kind of bogged down, but so far, I'm at the edge of my seat!
