As most of you probably know, there is a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film coming early next year. It will be CG animated and will stay closer to the comics than to the tv series. I was wondering, If that movie turns out well, would any of you like to see Usagi get a similar treatment. I think that the base look of Usagi would have to be the same. I would want it to look like Stan Sakai did it. But the CG, done well, could give it a lot of detail and I just think it would be a beautiful grand film. They could do a trilogy and Usagi would get the attention he deserves. I read both Marvel and DC. For years Batman and Daredevil were my favorite, no questions. But since discovering Usagi, I have to include these books with the top books out there. Usagi is one of the most well drawn, well thought out, and well executed books I have ever read. So do you think A movie could be made out of it?

I agree with you that it could. I would like to see them to stay true to the look of the art and the stories.

I agree that Usagi would make a helluva movie. However, given the style of the comic itself, I think a traditional 2D animated approach would work best. Also, it'd be tough to pick one story to start with. It would have to introduce a good chunk of the main Characters (Usagi, of course, Gen, Tomoe and perhaps Mariko, Kenichi and Jotaro) *and* tell the story of how Usagi came to be a ronin. That's a lot of information for an introductory film. It could be done, but it would be tough not to make it too long or too episodic. 'Twould be interstin' to see, though.

Id love to see them done with puppetry and backgrounds like sin city and 300. I REALLY WANT AN USAGI MOVIE
