Post by Lady Keiko_ronin Usagi »

Hey everyone!! I just wanted to know whats your most favorite Disney movie or cartoon series. We all grew up with Disney, so don't you even DARE say, "I don't watch Disney". My favs are Alice In Wonderland, Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2, The Great Mouse Detective, The Lion King and Pocahontas. :D Has anyone brought the new release of Peter Pan? I just brought it yesterday and I can't wait to see it again!

I remember sitting with my three year old son watching Lion King. When Simba's father died the tears were just streaming down his cheeks. Precious memories!

Do Pixar movies count? If so, I'd have to say "The Incredibles."

I realize this my seem hypocritical given my previous statement about CGI films, but this movie was one of the very few exceptions. It rocked my face clean off.

If I had to pick a more traditional Disney film, I'd have to say "The Rescuers." I got a soft spot for mouse movies. Sue me.

ah the Incredibles - awesome film. I was gonna say Spirited Away, but it's a bit of a stretch as a Disney movie!

if you liked the Incredibles you'll probably like the Iron Giant - it's wonderful and a little more obscure.

It's not animation, but . . . CONDORMAN

Post by Maka »

My favorite Disney movie growing up was Condorman. It was about a comic book artist who is mistaken for a master spy. The CIA ends up making spy equipment based on his comicbook character. It was way back in 1981 and stars the phantom of the opera.

Unfortunately it's been out of print for years. My local video store doesn't carry it. :(

My favorite cartoon growing up was Robin Hood. Something about a fox Robin was cool. And once again my favorite anime is My Neighbor Totoro but I haven't seen the Disney dubbed version yet.

Peace,

I heard that Disney is making a Frog Prince movie based in New Orleans. For this they are actually going back to hand-drawn animation. I like the computer work, but I'm glad to see some movies made with traditional techniques as well.

Favorite movies would be: Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Mulan, Hercules, love, love, love, love The Black Cauldron, Treasure Planet. I love the old classic original cartoons, the Goofy instructional ones, anything Donald Duck (when he takes those pills and ha a suave speaking voice from it), any Scrooge shorts, oh, love the Sleepy Hollow half of Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

Actually, I love Disney. I'm going there, Disney World, in May.
