Spiderman 3
I saw it today with my family and I enjoyed it. The fight seans and special affects were the most awsome part of the movie, though I dont think enough was resolved in the story. So has anyone else here seen the movie yet, and if so, what did you think?

Too many good ideas crammed into one movie. In the end, it all felt forced and way too quick, even without much action happening at all. The alien costume deserved a movie to itself, as did the whole Harry thing. Sandman got decent treatment at the beginning of the film, but then got totally forgotten so, by the end, I was like "oh, you're still here?" And Venom...what were they thinking?

I haven't seen the movie but I think its going to suffer from the same thing the Batman movies suffered from. Too many villains.
They should stick with one villain and maybe subplots for a second villain in a future movie like they did with Harry in Spider-man 2.
In this movie, you got way too many villains.
1. Harry
2. Sandman
3. The symbiote
4. Venom
(Yes I consider 3 and 4 are seperate villains)

Well thanks to the magic of low expectations Gary and I liked S3 quite a bit! It was fun and entertaining... I agree that there was a bit too much crammed in there but hey! We watched our DVD of #2 last night and hit the matinee this afternoon. S2 is still by far the best. Hard to beat Molina's Doc Oc. The sandman was kool though, great effects, and this was my favorite Harry of the three. He seemed a more believable character this time.
Thanks for downplaying it guys!

In this interview, director Sam Raimi said it was because of a little pressure from Avi Arad that Venom was added to the cast.

It's difficult for me to sit in a movie theater (except for TMNT, but they gave us free stuff), so I'll probably wait until the DVD. Daughter Hannah did see it Saturday night.
Did Stan Lee make a cameo?

I haven't seen it.
I haven't seen it but judging from the other spider-man movies it probably won't be that good.I don't even like the series.
No offense to any spider man fans out there.

The flip side of all of this is that my 13 year old students all seem to agree that this was their favorite of the films. The over-saturation of villains seems a good match for their attention spans, and they all really liked Harry's reform and death.
Oddly enough, they didn't like Sandman much, while he was one of my favorite parts. I guess he was too heavy on the drama (just right for me) without enough imminent danger for Spider-Man.
