Steve Ditko was one of my first big artistic influences, but very little is known about him. Earlier this week, BBC television presented the documentary, In Search of Steve Ditko. It is up on Youtube, in 7 parts.

Dikto's style has always been an enigma to me, much like Kirby's.
I can appreciate the look of the work, but it doesn't entirely appeal to me. It's always been a bit too simple for me.

What a great documentary!
I thought it had a great ending too.
I never knew Jonathan Ross was a comic fan.
Maybe he'll make some more comic documentaries again

I have always been more of a Kirby fan, too. However, I recently got the Essential Doctor Strange Volume 1. Seeing so much of Ditko's stuff in one place gave me a new appreciation for his awesome storytelling abilities. He really had a flair for drawing the supernatural. I definitely want to check out this documentary.
