We finally have a trailer for the long-awaited movie adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road, a book everyone here should really read if they already haven't:

The trailer makes this movie look a little cheesy, but thankfully, accoring to this very positive advance review (a little spoilerish if you haven't read the book) the disaster footage in the trailer isn't in the actual movie:

If you haven't seen it, the director's previous film, the Australia-set western The Proposition, is worth seeing too (but probably a little too violent for some people).

I'm looking forward to this movie, based on the Pulitzer Prize novel. Kind of like a Lone Wolf and Cub in a post apocalyptic world.

Fans of Lone Wolf and Cub might be interested, but there are some differences. The Man (played by Viggo Mortensen in the movie) isn't armed like Ogami Itto (pretty much all he has is a gun and about two or three few bullets).
