Yes, I had been taking sort of a break here and there. So I did a tribute to one of my favorite cartoons every made, Thundarr The Barbarian...I do hope you can check it out here!

No responses huh....that is sort of depressing seeing as now one of my friends passed away. Probably one of the last pieces she saw too.

Master Stan? Anybody out there seeing this....Buhler....Buhler?

[sigh....]

I remember watching a few episodes of Masters of the Universe in high school, but don't remember ever seeing Thundarr the Barbarian. Once upon a time, I was a big Conan fan, but I had pretty much lost interest in it by the very early 1980's. One of the main reasons I enjoyed Groo the Wanderer was because it breathed new life into the barbarian warrior story as well as adding a fantastic sense of humor a genre which I was pretty much burned out on.

Thundarr was before He-Man, but after Herculoids. I think it came on in the early 80s. (Around the time that Heavy Metal: The Movie, came out.)

It was a show about the post-apocalypse that came on during Saturday mornings.

If you got a Youtube account, this is the address for a lot of the episodes of Thundarr.....

Yeah, I liked TMNT and Groo though, but Thundarr just struck a chord with me again. Even after this wild week I been having.

I remember He-man being on in the afternoons after school. I can't imagine when the last time I watched cartoons on a saturday morning, must have been back in the 70's sometime.

I remember Thundar, he was part of a TV campaign Hanna-Barbara tried to do by producing action adventure animations. the shows concept was cool though the story was very disjointed. One of a few series I love to rewrite. the Other being Shagmar aka Spartacus and The Sun Beneath the Sea.

I love Thundarr. One of the best old school cartoons around. I can still remember watching it as a kid when they first aired in the 80s. Awesome tribute.

Thanks bro! And yeah, they got almost every Thundarr episode over on YouTube. I been catching up on them, cause I had not seen them in forever. Plus having my own personal internet is helping me out substantially.

Yeah, when I was a kid, I used to run around with my friends, this one girl was Ariel....even though she was blond! LOL!

And this fat kid was Ookla the Mok. I am pretty sure we scared the teachers more then once with that shtick! LOL!

:D
