Why do people hate bands/artists that don't perform live?

Why do people hate bands/artists that don't perform live?

Personally I prefer the sound of music that was recorded in a studio and touched up and enhanced and whatnot. Sounds better. But then again I've never been to a concert as I don't live in a concert city.
Hmm... how to best express myself in signature form?

Well, I'm back. I need to get back into the series, been so long since I read volume 7.
