Skillet

Post by Steve Hubbell »

Anybody here ever hear of a band named Skillet? I was asked a while back if I would be interested in going and seeing them in concert with my 15 year old nephew Nick, his parents had prior commitments and the concert was an hour's drive away and he needed someone to go with him if he was going to have a chance of going. Anyways, we went to the concert last night and it really surprised me.

I have to admit that with all the years of listening to rock music, I have never listened to much of it that tends to be labelled "Christian Rock" before, but after seeing this band perform, I realize I might have been depriving myself of some really nice music. They put on a really good show. Lars Urlich of Metallica could learn a thing or two about drumming from the girl in this band, she had suc a heavy heavy sound to her drums!

I guess I just want to say, if you get a chance to see them, do so! It is so worth it to watch them play.

Thanks Steve,

I liked it.

I looked up some of their other music. Other random facts: 7 albums. There drummer is 19. Two of them are married and home school their kids when they are on tour.

Thanks again. Peace, maka
