Anyone seen Toy Story 3 yet? I like Pixar movies a lot, so I'll probably see it soon (not in 3-D though; I decided that I was finished with that after watching Avatar in 3-D and deciding that it didn't really add much to the experience).

Anything that has a Totoro cameo has got to be worth seeing, right?

I saw it last night with family and a bunch of friends. 2D was great. I really loved the film, laughed a lot, and even cried in one scene. I highly recommend it.

Totoro appears several times in the movie. Nice tribute.

Peace, maka

^He even gives the classic Totoro smile from the movie! I bet that played different in Japan. Here it's just a Miyazaki shout out but there the kids are likely to have a stuffed Totoro.

Oh, and Toy Story 3 was amazing. There's a scene near the end that was so dramatic that... I don't want to spoil it.

I'm not familiar with Totoro, but I got the same kick from seeing the little rolling, phone with a face that every kid had in my childhood. I thought it was a wonderful movie. It was fun, and touching. Everyone got misty eyed at some point.

Yeah, I found it touching too. The Toy Story films definitely keep getting better. They pretty much set this up to be the last, though :(

Toy Story 3 was just amazing. Pixar manages to evoke complex emotions in the context of a children's movie. Just wonderful. It's a dream of mine to sit down with the team that pitches stories for these films. That and visit Ghibli to do the same.

John Lassiter (Pixar Exec) has been instrumental in bringing Studio Ghibli films to the US and doing the English dubs. I loved the Totoro cameo as well! If you get a chance check out the collection.

Princess Mononoke is a classic (especially appealing to Usagi fans), but others like Pom Poko and Porco Rosso are equally great. Nausicca, Castle in the Sky, Spiritied Away...

Toy Story 3...

My boyfirend and I saw it. We loved it. He had not seen the first two, and Im glad we desided to still go see it. Pixar/Disney managed to cap some of the old school toys you do see in the Day Care, like the old telaphone, and the farm See-N-Say....I was tikkled pink to see a totoro plush too! :D - The end was great, but also sad.

I love the Spanish mode Buzz Lightyear.
