John Carter (of Mars)
Anyone else here seen this yet? I saw it today, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. For once, I really hope that sequels are made (after all, there are about 8 or 9 more books in ERB's John Carter of Mars series).

I did not get to see it in theaters, but when the DVD came out I decided to buy it anyways... while the movie is not a memorable classic, I did think it was entertaining and enjoyed it. Could it have been better? Probably, but I'd still recommend it if you like sci fi / fantasy. For me a movie doesn't always have to be a blockbuster, as long as it entertains me I like it.

Disney lost a lot of money with this movie. I really liked it, but their add campaign was horrible for it. I had no clue Mars was even part of it until I started watching the movie. I don't know if they planning to do a sequel.

Knowing next to nothing about the character or the series beforehand, I watched this movie recently and enjoyed it quite well, in fact, it piqued my interest so much that I'm now reading ERB's original books. Disney messed up with their promotional campaign for this movie which may hinder hope for any sequels but I would love to see more movies of John Carter.
