To be honest, I'm generally a newbie when it comes to comics (started out with Guardians of the Galaxy, particularly Rocket Raccoon and Groot, hehe), but it did not hinder me from getting hooked with Usagi Yojimbo.

It all started with Dark Horse's recent $1 edition of Grasscutter... and from that on, it became a journey, collecting and reading whatever available single issue that I can find. Eventually, through my modest resources (and some patience), I managed to get TPBs ("Gen's Story" was my first, bought after days of diligence in the local bookstore within my former workplace), including the UY Saga editions, and just yesterday, Senso.
Being exposed to stuff related to Japan, and its culture (through anime/manga, music and movies (speaking of movies, here in my country we have this annual free screening of Japanese-language films every July... the lines are like those what I've experienced during this year's FCBD here in Manila)) I think, helped me to love this masterpiece. It also rekindled my craving for anime/manga (wanted to reread Uchuu Kyoudai (Space Brothers) or Gin no Saji (Silver Spoon), they're both great titles), as well as my long term goals of learning the language and visit Japan

It's an honor and privilege to meet with all of you (even with differences in time zones)!
And welcome back/maligayang pagbabalik, Usagi!(sings the Welcome Back, Kotter theme song).
Thank you!/Salamat!

P.S. I wish Stan would come to the Philippines,in the future (*fingers crossed*).
