Akira Kurosawa Box Set

Post by Tounian »

For those of you who love Kurosawa's films, and haven't spent the money on the boxed set yet, now is your chance. Tower Records is having a big sale on all foreign stuff, thanks to Criterion overflowing the stock. According to the manager I spoke to, it applies to ALL Tower Records stores. So, the normally priced boxed set, which includes 7 Samurai, Hidden fortress, Sanjuro, and my personal favorite, Yojimbo, is going for 49.95. I think its a good steal. Also, the Inagaki Trilogy should be on sale as well, but the Tower in La Jolla didn't have it. And while I'm on the subject of great Japanese film, Kaneto Shindo's Onibaba and Yasujiro Ozu's Tokyo Story, are on sale too. I suggest you all see them. Phenomenal films.
