Genki Spark taiko drumming

Post by Antizombie »

Hey everyone,

After seeing Stan at the MFA on the 11th I had some read it passes so I went down to celebrate another Samurai Saturday there. My wife and I went to go see the Genki Sark Taiko drummers. These ladies were amazing and since I had never gone to a taiko drumming concerns is was a real eye opener. They had a lot of amazing things to say about how it relates to Japanese culture in America. If you get a chance check them out on their website or youtube channel (though I must say the life experience is not translated well to any recordable media, I could feel the drumming in my bones). My wife even got to go up o nstar and play the Daiko (big drum).
