I remember a Samurai Cat, Samurai Squirral, Zato Ichi Walrus, Samurai Penguins, and various ninja critters, but i don't recall Samuari Pizza Cats. The one I liked was the samurai duck in the Varmints comic

For obvious reasons, the Ronin Rabbit is the only one still around...

Samurai Pizza Cats info (via Wikipedia).
I remember that show, and I loved it. In fact, it must be one of my favourite shows ever, although I recall very little because I didn't watch many episodes and I was very young at the time.
What made the show so unique is that when the show was exported and Saban began to adapt it to the American market, they didn't know how to translate it because they didn't receive any scripts. So they decided to rewrite all the dialogue, and the result was a parody of the actual show, but an extremely funny one. The version that was shown in Spain was the American version translated into Mexican Spanish, like most shows around that time, and it was hilarious (there's something about cartoons in Mexican Spanish that makes them very amusing to watch, at least for me).
If anyone else is interested in other samurai animals, and can figure out how to browse through a Japanese website, I'd recommend checking out
http://ww81.tiki.ne.jp/~kurotani/ , and specifically
this link. The website is about Kurotani's works, a Japanese kemono artist, which is somewhat the Japanese equivalent of furry artists. This guy has very good illustrations and is worth checking out.

Just like The Magic Roundabout then... Eric Thompson watched each episode and wrote his own plot and script disregarding the original French
Probably for the best... probably made both a lot funnier!
And yes I recall SPC being shown here on TV during the mid 90s.

Pekass:
What language are the episodes in? English? Spanish? What about the video and audio quality? I managed to download a few in english but the quality was awful (they were about 30 MB in size, go figure

). Could you please post elinks, or send them to me via
ziritrion@gmail.com ?
I found a 1.31 GB torrent at
www.soniconthe.net but no one was seeding it.

I remember that show - great show *hums the theme song to himself*
Only other samurai cartoon show which includes animals like Usagi and co is Samurai Jack. I liked that show, tried to mimic samurai films by using interesting camera techniques although it is only a cartoon, lol. The only shame was that after a while it was kind of repetative.
I mean Jack walks around helping people the same as Usagi but it didnt have the fresh buzz that keeps Usagi Yojimbo so interesting to read.

A samurai duck! Awesome!
Are there any ducks in Usagi's world? Samurai or otherwise?
Other animals needed as samurai:
Monkeys
Penguins
Hawks or Eagles
Frogs

What site? Kurotaniya? Try using one of the many available translation webpages around, like
Google translate. Here's the
direct link.
Yes, the translation looks goofy, but it's free

. Besides, navigating around isn't that hard, just click around and try to look for images. That's what I did.

Kurotani is such a talented artist. A manga by him would be very nice.

I'm pretty sure Kurotani has published some doujinshi (fanzines), although I bet it's freaking hard to get one from him, the first reason being the language barrier.
