need help with japanese and chinese symbols

hey everyone,
it's me again.can anyone tell me the japanese Symbol for ''crimson''? and maybe the chinese symbol for ''dark'' or ''hood''?

For "crimson" or "scarlet", you'll find either the word that Steve gave,
紅 (
kurenai) or the compound
真紅 (
shinku). Those are names, not adjectives.
One example : 紅海 (kôkai), the Red Sea.
The second kanji,
暗, conveys the general meaning of "dark". The Japanese adjective is 暗い (
kurai).
Steve, the second word you give must be only Chinese, I can't find it in my kanji dictionary. 敞篷

Since gunblade007 asked for Dark and Hood in Chinese, I had Babelfish translate them into traditional Chinese.
Crimson was translated into Japanese.
