Atsuta Shrine

I was browsing around Wikipedia a little while ago, and I found an entry for Atsuta Shrine. It's still around today, which I didn't know until now (part of it was rebuilt in the 1950s to repair damage from WWII bombing). The Wikipedia entry says that the Kusanagi no mitsurugi (aka Grasscutter) is supposedly still housed in the Atsuta Shrine but is never shown to the public. The entry for Kusanagi says that the NHK tried to shoot footage of Kusanagi/Grasscutter for a documentary, but the people in charge of the shrine wouldn't allow it (this has a "citation needed" flag next to it). I think it would be really fun to see a little 21st century epilogue to the Grasscutter story. Maybe Terry Miyamoto (Usagi's modern descendant) could be in it.

Wouldn't this be a cool place for a UY fan to visit?

The UYD has an article on Kusanagi No Tsurugi with actual photos of it and the two other Imperial treasures. Stan actually based his Grascutter design on the photo we have of Kusanagi. Have no idea how the photos were taken or if there are any additional ones out there....

There's a lot of stuff in the site that goes unnoticed...this page is actually a part of the Grasscutter Website.
