Osamu Tezuka's Blackjack will be made into a Kyogen play, the first manga to be adapted to this artform. It will be performed in Takarazuka, the site of the Tezuka Museum.

That sounds really interesting. I'd love to go to a performance since Black Jack is one of my favorite Tezuka characters (unfortunately, It may be a while before I'm in a good position to take a trip to Japan). I remember reading in Fred Schodt's
Dreamland Japan that the all-female Takarazuka Revue has performed shows based on Black Jack and other Tezuka creations.

We were taken to the Takarazuka Revue when we were in Japan. It is just down the street from the Tezuka Museum. First we saw a traditional sword drama, then a Las Vegas-type show.
The actress who played the lead in the samurai play would have been the perfect Tomoe Ame--beautiful and skilled with the blade.
