I think it will be during Comic-con. A friend who lives in the SF Bay area is really split between which one she wants to do.

AWWWW MAN he is on my list of famous people I want to meet. Why do i have t live on the eats coast. Sigh wish they get him to come to Otakon or one of the big comic/anime cones on the east coast.

That might be a little bit difficult since, according to the article that I linked to, he doesn't come to the U.S. very often, and he doesn't even make very many public appearances.

I don't know if it's true or not, but according to this story, there's a rumor that Miyazaki might be at SDCC as part of the promotion for Ponyo:

That would make sense for Disney to have him there. And if true I will use my press badge, dealer badge, and every other tool at my disposal to get the opportunity to shake his hand.

The LA Times reports that Miyazaki will be at SDCC!! Whoo-hoo!!

I have a suspicion Kris and I will be doing our best to get into that presentation...
