A forum for trading UY comics, books, and other collectibles. Looking for missing back issues? Want to sell/trade your extra copies of UY? Want to post your eBay auction? Then look no further!
Thanks for the heads up Steve! I'm going to have to be thrifty, and try to snipe some auctions on ebay over time. Having just drained the coffers to pick up the original tip-in art for Volume 23, it's going to be awhile before I drop another c-note on a book. But I look forward to the hunt.
And I do recall seeing one of the hardcovers at Stans booth during SDCC.
Thanks again for all the great information on where to find these.
So far I have been able to pick up 8 of these, with eight plus Space Usagi to go. I just have a question for you more experienced fans.
I have an opportunity to pick up Seasons and Space Usagi for $250 together. Do you think that is a fair deal, or that I should wait for a lower price on these two?
Seasons is a neat book which includes a little bit of material not originally published in comic book format, and Space Usagi has been fairly scarce lately as far as I've seen (one copy currently / recently on Amazon priced at $280) so $250 for both shouldn't be ruled out as a good deal.
I have a few hardcovers which I probably paid that much for singularly, and the two most recent hardcovers I bought, I paid less for, so it is hard to say if you might find them cheaper.
A very Merry Christmas to me this morning because when I woke up I found Volume 9 listed on ebay and made an offer and now it is mine! So now I have nine of the Dark Horse hardcovers. I'm so excited right now about getting Daisho for such a fair price!

indeed, it's one of my favourite Usagi collections (okay, so are all the others!!) but when Stan had some art for sale on Dark Horse's website Isaw the cover to that and crumbled in about half-a-second!!
I have a whole set of UY up, and you could have them bound...let me know
I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring the ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and to incur my own abhorrence.

Was just able to secure "Fathers and Sons" from ebay for a reasonable amount. Now I am left needing only six more volumes plus Space Usagi, and waiting on the collected Fantagraphics.
Need:
Volume 8 Shades of Death
Volume 10 Brink of Life and Death
Volume 12 Grasscutter
Volume 17 Duel at Kitanoji
Volume 18 Travels with Jotaro
Volume 22 Tomoe’s Story

Unfortunately, the person I spoke with (Will) said they do not do mail order. I have bought books and prints through the mail before from another of the TFAW stores (not the web-store), so something might be worked out with the store manager possiblly.
Wow, you guys are awesome. I'm going to check over these leads tomorrow afternoon, and really appreciate the help. Just too tired to look after school and work today. This is seriously one of the best boards I have ever become a member of.
Went ahead and ordered the copy of Tomoe's Story from Tales of Wonder, since I could not resist the $38 price. Thanks for the lead Gaffey. Thank you also Steve, for all the help, but I don't think I'm quite ready to pay over $200 for any one of these. Not just yet anyway.
I was wondering why Grasscutter seems so hard to come by. Any insights?
Now I Only Need:
Volume 8 Shades of Death
Volume 10 Brink of Life and Death
Volume 12 Grasscutter
Volume 17 Duel at Kitanoji
Volume 18 Travels with Jotaro

Story was given multiple awards, is one of the best things Stan has produced and only 350 h/c copies printed. I think you can do the maths from there...
With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...
It is a bit frustrating that these five have not shown up lately. I was making great progress up until the last hardcover pickup. At least I was able to make my first direct order for volume 24. I hope I don't get allocated on it by DCBS, like I was with the Grendel/Batman signed hardcover a couple of years ago.
Any help would be appreciated.
Still looking for these five hardcovers to complete my collection:
Volume 8 Shades of Death
Volume 10 Brink of Life and Death
Volume 12 Grasscutter
Volume 17 Duel at Kitanoji
Volume 18 Travels with Jotaro
