Jeff Lemire Usagi commission

Jeff's take on Usagi (GalaxyCon 2020 in Richmond, VA). I always liked the Usagi in the rain piece he did for the Sakai Project.

I highly recommend reading his Black Hammer series if you have some spare time.

Sadly, this isn't my commission.

I love Jeff's stuff. I got hooked with Sweet Tooth, Underwater Welder and Black Hammer. I have a decent sized pile of his books to read, so I'm glad there's still a bunch of material for me to get through.

I think Doctor Star & the Kingdom of Lost Tomorrows is my favorite Black Hammer related title. Although I haven't read Skulldigger and Skeleton Boy yet. Other than Usagi, I usually wait for the collected editions. Hopefully you have Essex County, Gideon Falls, Descender and Ascender in that pile. All worth your time in my opinion.

The original Black Hammer series is my favorite. Descender was 2nd. Nice sketch.

I prefer the Black Hammer series too. I should have said "my favorite Black Hammer spin-off" was Doctor Star & the Kingdom of Lost Tomorrows.

Have you read Ascender yet? The series switches from sci-fi (Descender) to fantasy (Ascender).

I haven't read Ascender yet. But I'm looking forward to it. A friend just gave me their Kindle Fire HD 6 and it is a much better reading experience than on my phone. Hoopladigital has the ascender so I'll check it out. Peace, maka

Great commission! I love Black Hammer too! Wish it came out more regularly though. :cry: Ascender is amazing the last issue was Incredible! Lemire is a master.
