UY 136 review

Post by Stan Sakai »

Here is a review of UY 136 on the Comics Worth Reading site:

http://comicsworthreading.com/2011/03/3 ... jimbo-136/

There is also a link to a 6-page preview.

I think the issue comes out today.

hungry to read the whole issue.....
I think I saw a change in the sensei's horse design(compared to other horses in usagi's world...) or is the slightly different design of the head just because this is a special horse?just wondering, maybe it's just my eyes:)
usagi looks aquward in one pannel to me though, the one where he is bowing...

My shop didn't get it today. Anyone else have this problem?

My local shop did not receive Usagi this week either. The Diamond Previews web-site does not list Usagi in the current week's shipping list.

It's a little ironic for the reviewer to criticize the "bad-guy-with-a-scar" cliche, considering Usagi has been sporting a scar since day one!

It's funny, when I read the descriptions of the issues ahead (which sold the mystery of who the Red Scorpions were) and read the preview for this issue I was a bit dissapointed. In those first few pages I thought I had a pretty good idea as to the true identity of the gang - ruining any kind of twist at the end of the storyline.

...then Stan comes along and actually gives away my assumed twist in the first issue! Way to subvert expectations.
:D
