I found this hardcover version of Book 5 on the Fantagraphics website
(http://www.fantagraphics.com/index.php? ... &Itemid=62).
It doesn't give any indication that it is a S/N version so i called and was told it is "just the standard hardcover". I didn't know there were non-S/N and non-library editions. Does anyone know what a "standard hardcover" is?

I think I explained this before. The number of books printed and the number of tip-in plates I sign do not always come out even. Sometimes we have left over signature plates, sometimes left over HC books. If there are extra plates, the remainders are stuck in a drawer or tossed away. If there are extra books, they are given to staff at the publisher or sold at a great discount.
I remember Fantagraphics had a lot of Book 5 HC left over, and sold them for $25 each. This is probably what they called the standard hardcover. It just does not have a signature plate.
