This past summer I was humbled to visit Sengakuji. The temple has the burial grounds of the 47 Ronin and their lord. There is so much history at Sengakuji. There's also a small museum on the grounds that includes a video of the 47 Ronin, items of that time period, and statues of the 47 Ronin.
If ever in Japan, this is a historic place to pay your respects and realize the history of the real 47 Ronin.
Just thought I'd share an All Things Japan experience....
Take care all

Thanks for sharing. I've never been to Japan, but it's at the top of my list of places to go. I'll certainly add this onto my places to visit when I do make it there.

Awesome! It's on my bucket list of places to visit on future trips.Gi_Ra wrote:This past summer I was humbled to visit Sengakuji.
Did you take any photos? It'd be great if you could share some with us.

No problemo. I've visited Japan maybe a handful of times and I recommend it! Unfortunately I tried attaching a pic of the front of Sengakuji Temple but it's too big of a file. Here is a link to a nice blurb about it with pics.jabba359 wrote:Thanks for sharing. I've never been to Japan, but it's at the top of my list of places to go. P.s. once you learn how to use their train system then you could travel to so many places in Japan! Enjoy
