Synopsis

The second part of the "Blood Wings" story picks up in the Komori Ninja hideout, where Usagi is being interrogated by the ninjas. Usagi, with no real choice but to talk, lies to the ninjas by telling them that Lord Hirone was warned of their plans to attack the gold shipment.

The ninjas, unsure whether or not Usagi was telling the truth, keep him alive and stick to their original plan anyway. If Usagi tells them the truth, they will be able to turn him over to Lord Hikiji. If not, they will kill him. Back at the gold mine, the shipment is loaded and Lord Hirone's men leave the mine with the gold.

One of the miners thought he saw some kind of large bird, but didn't report it. Only when he sees the "bird" again after many hours of travel, he finally decides to report it to the captain.

Back at the ninja's hideout, the ninja who was spying on the gold shipment reports and tells the rest of the clan that everything is going fine and they all leave the hideout to retrieve the shipment... except one, who must stay to slay Usagi.

Usagi is able to break loose, kill the ninja, and then escape from hideout. Usagi runs to the village to warn them of the Komori attack.

Back at the gold shipment, the guards see the clan in the sky, but Hirone's samurai are no match for the Komori Clan, and thus lose the gold shipment. Some of the Komori Clan decide to eliminate Ando's village in fear that they have too much knowledge of the clan's activities.

Meanwhile in the village, Usagi and the villagers prepare to meet the Komori Clan in combat. The battle is fierce, but the villagers and Usagi fight with rage and devotion and are able to destroy the Ninja attack. The village headman pays a last visit to his son and Usagi is convinced that this would be the last time they would have to deal with the Komori Ninja.

But somewhere at a distance, a "flap flap flap" as if from a large bird can be heard...
