Synopsis

Usagi is still on his journey to recover the bandit Hosoku's bounty for Gen. Along the way, he encounters a village plagued by a terrible darkness that is accompanied by the music of a flute. The musician is accompanied by a white tokage, and death shadows his steps. As terrified villagers huddle in their homes, Usagi faces a monster as deadly as the she-demon of "The Bridge" but not wholly alone. His ally tells him a tale darker than night's shadows, before he, like those shadows, vanishes with the dawn.
