The Dragon Bellow Conspiracy, Chapter 2

Tomoe is in a cell and Tamakuro interogates her (with no success) on the reason of the spying mission. Tamakuro learns that the ninja that was killed is a Neko Ninja and wonders if Lord Hikiji suspects him since the Neko Ninja are associated with Hikiji. He also learns that the Neko Ninja are installed in a village nearby and wants them exterminated.

Meanwhile, Gen finds a home with 3 dead men and rapidly finds out that they where killed by Zato-Ino, so he goes after him once again. Zato-Ino is relaxing in a hot spring and he meets 2 women. Elsewhere, Shingen, a Neko Ninja who has been sent to spy on Tamakuro is running back to his village.

Usagi is already at that village and finds out that villagers have been massacred and that the village was a ninja's village. Usagi decides to go report the carnage but first moves the bodies into a hut. Shingen arrives at the village and sees Usagi leaving. He then enters the hut to discover the dead bodies, and thinks Usagi is responsible and goes for revenge, not before eliminating all evidence by putting the village on fire.

While Tamakuro is trying his guns at the fortress, Usagi is attacked by Shingen. Usagi tries to explain to him that he did not slay the ninjas but Shingen won't listen.

After a duel, Shingen falls off a cliff and Usagi leaves him for dead. But Shingen is still alive and is still seeking revenge. Usagi then finds the fortress village and he asks a samurai who is wearing the same crest that Tomoe's captors were wearing about the lord of the town. Usagi discovers that the lord is Lord Tamakuro.
