The fourth chapter begins in a dream sequence in which Usagi is
battling against a dragon and a demon-ghost of Tomoe. He then wakes up to
find himself in a hut with Shingen. Shingen explains that he has learned
that it was Lord Tamakuro's fault that his villagers were slaughtered,
apologizes to Usagi, and then asks him to follow him since they don't have
much time.
At the fortress, Lord Tamakuro gets ready to move against the shogun and
Tomoe is still hiding when she spots a Neko Ninja running along a
wall.
Usagi is brought to the ninja's hideout as they prepare to attack the
fortress; Usagi asks to join them in battle when he learns that Tomoe is
still alive and asks Shingen to send the word of the conspiracy to
Lord Noriyuki. Shingen has someone sent to warn Noriyuki of the
conspiracy, as Usagi vows once again to rescue Tomoe.
As the entire army of warriors run to the fortress, Usagi finds Spot
and asks him of the whereabouts of Ino.... Ino thinks he has lost Spot and
calls out to him. Gen hears him calling for Spot, and persues him. Gen
then goes to him and they start a duel.
Zato-Ino cuts Gen's horn off, and Gen then realizes that Ino is too
difficult to defeat. Usagi then steps in with Spot and the ninjas, asks
Gen and Ino to stop fighting and to join them in their attack on the
fortress. Both agree to set their differences aside and join the army. Once
at the fortress, the ninjas use their black powder to blow a hole in a wall
and the battle begins!
