Synopsis

| |
The 6th chapter begins when Lord Noriyuki offers to make Usagi a
retainer. Usagi refuses the post, since he feels a samurai should only
serve one master in his life. Lord Noriyuki then learns that Gen has
left, and in doing so also refused to become a retainer.
Usagi then bids Tomoe goodbye goes on his way. Later he finds Gen
who explains to him that, like Usagi, he is a ronin and that's why he has
left Lord Noriyuki without a word.
He then asks Usagi for some money before they both go their way.
Usagi accepts since Gen did not claim Ino's bounty. Gen says farewell
to his friend and thinks to himself that he told everyone that Ino might
have been shot, but he never said he was dead...
