In the last chapter Ino is staggering, Spot at his side, half-dead when
he falls to the ground. Two villagers nearby rescue him and bring him to a
remote village. Ino wakes up in Fujiko's hut (a villager) a few days
later.
Later, bandits enter the village to steal the villagers' goods and Ino is
hit by a bandit. When the bandit is about to slay him, Spot jumps on him and
bites his ear off.
That evening, Ino is offered to stay in the village. At the bandit camp,
the bandits realize that the blind man is Zato-Ino, the outlaw, and return
to the village to kill him and collect the bounty. Ino and Spot fight back
and the villagers then help them in the battle.
Spot is able to kill the bandit who had tried to slay Ino earlier and
save Fujiko, but in doing so Spot is injured and dies. Ino and the villagers
are able to kill all the bandits and Ino says farewell to his friend. He
then decides to give up is life of wandering and settle down in the village
to a peaceful life, which has always been his dream.
