Synopsis

Usagi rescues Nobu from bandits, leaving the archer unconscious. The boy tells Usagi of the bandits under General Fujii who have enslaved his village. Nobu goes on to warn the authorities, while Usagi ties up the archer, and goes to the village. There, he passes himself off as a ronin for hire, and joins Fujii's group, while giving encouragement to the headman, Nobu's father. That night, the archer returns, and tells him that Nobu is dead. Usagi is attacked, outnumbered, and captured.
